ID- Perfumes, the company behind the success of celebrity fragrance collections, wanted to launch a contest to promote Adam Levine's perfume release. The objective was to create an interactive contest and generate 100.000 contestant entries, create enough buzz around the Maroon 5 frontman's fragrance for both men and women.
The goal and objective was generate 100.000 contest entries, capture the contestants information, send out free perfume samples to contestants with one grand prize winner living a week like Adam Levine. All of the contestants would receive an exclusive perfume sample. The second phase of the contest was for users to submit photo's using the perfume samples with Adam Levine hand picking the grand prize winner.
Generating 100000 leads in 5 days is tough, unless you have an in. Collaborating with Dan Redman from Rockdigital, we were able to post the contest on Maroon 5 FB Fan page (15,000.000 fans) and utilize Adam Levines Twitter (2 million followers) account to promote the contest. In addition we leveraged ID-perfumes database for an e-mail blast.
Day one resulted in 34,000 submissions. Day two 28,000 submissions. Day three 12,000 submissions. Day four 15,000 submissions. Day five 11,000 submission and the contest was closed.
One lucky winner got to live like Adam and style at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.
